Walton MBA - Marketing Career Track

Undergraduate: Field Biology, John Brown University
Hometown: Siloam Springs, Arkansas

Growing up in Northwest Arkansas, Alisha developed a love for animals and the environment. This love turned into a bachelor’s degree in Field Biology from John Brown University. After working in habitats and game reserves ranging from Florida to Kenya and Australia, she recognized that her dream was to manage an animal habitat or other non-profit organization that cared for animals.

Alisha realized that while her undergraduate degree and work experience taught her the technical skills that such a career would entail, she had not developed the managerial skills that such a position would require in order to operate successfully – the managerial skills that an MBA would provide.

Alisha soon discovered that she could obtain an MBA from a highly-rated graduate school of business located in her hometown area. She returned to Northwest Arkansas and became a member of the of the 2010 MBA Walton College Graduate School of Business class.

When not hiking with her dog throughout beautiful Northwest Arkansas or attending class, she works in the Applied Sustainability Center at the Sam M.Walton College of Business.
