"The professors are well versed in their respective areas and they are insistent that their students be fluent in what
technologies industry is currently using."
Today, businesses face complex technological
challenges and must hire motivated individuals with specialized education
and communication skills to meet the challenges successfully. As
organizations' information needs increase and become more complex and
urgent, information technology specialists who are attuned to current
technology and current techniques of development and management of
information technology are in short supply. Today's IT manager needs
skills not only to manage information resources, but also to be cognizant of
the business needs and the competitive strategy of business. The
Master of Information Systems is offered by the University of Arkansas
Walton College Information Systems Department to meet this need.
