Admissions: Accounting Master's Programs

Students seeking to be admitted into one of the two accounting master's programs at the Sam M. Walton College of Business must meet certain requirements.  Admission to the Graduate School of Business is highly competitive and selective. Enrollment in each program is limited.

MAcc Degree Program

The MAcc program is for students who have completed or will complete an undergraduate degree in accounting. Other interested students who have completed or will complete an undergraduate degree in another discipline may be eligible if they have taken or are currently enrolled in the necessary prerequisite accounting courses.

For the Walton College Master of Accounting (MAcc) program, the admissions committee evaluates candidates based on the GMAT score, undergraduate coursework and GPA, work experience (including internships), and honors and extracurricular activities accrued during the undergraduate program.

Required Test: GMAT
A valid GMAT exam is required for admission review. This would include any students previously admitted to the Integrated Master of Accountancy program who wish to pursue the MACC degree program. Please review our full master’s admissions catalog policy.

IMAcc Degree Program

The IMAcc program is for current University of Arkansas undergraduate accounting majors and is an early admission into the MAcc program. Students interested in this program should apply by February 15 of their junior year.

For the Walton College Integrated Master of Accounting (IMAcc) program, the admissions committee evaluates candidates based on the GMAT score, undergraduate coursework (90+ credit hours), minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA, and 12 hours of accounting courses (ACCT 2013, 3533, 3843 and 3723).
