The Walton MBA:
Graduate Assistantships and Summer Internships

Graduate Assistantships

Upon admission to the full-time MBA program, a student may be awarded a Graduate Assistantship.  Our Graduate Assistantships provide full or out-of-state tuition waivers, a stipend, and, in some cases, scholarship funding.  Students work either for the Walton College or for one of our corporate partners. The work is arranged around your academic schedule and designed to complement your course work.

Working with a corporate partner is a terrific opportunity for the MBA student who wants to pursue a career in business.  Because you are working in a business environment while taking courses, you have many opportunities to apply what you learn in the classroom to your corporate setting.  Students who choose the corporate Graduate Assistantship often work for the same companies during their summer internships.

Summer Internships

Walton College is positioned in the center of the retail industry and connected to the world's biggest retailer, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., as well as hundreds of vendors that supply products to the company and other retailers.  Summer MBA internships at Walton College are competitive and include experience in finance, category management, strategy, price analysis, and other demand areas with companies right in our backyard.  While we help you find opportunities, you obtain a position through careful resume preparation and focused interviews.  Our Walton College Career Development Center provides one-on-one guidance through this process, designed with your specific style in mind.  The Career Development Center also serves as the clearinghouse for MBA internships, making sure that you are notified of job openings as they become available.
