"The level of
faculty involvement with the students really adds to the program. I also appreciated the
depth of exposure to
current issues and topics in accounting."

MBA Core
(download details )
The MBA program begins with a solid grounding in the core business disciplines: economics, accounting, finance, quantitative analysis,
management, marketing and logistics. The core gives students a rigorous grounding in the analytical and strategic thinking skills that
form the basis of a strong MBA program.
Career Tracks(see details)
Four distinct career tracks are available: Retail Marketing Management, Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, and Entrepreneurship &
Innovation. The Career Tracks correspond to specific career paths at leading companies within the retail and CPG industries. Each career track
is composed of four courses, including three required courses. The fourth course in each track is either a consulting project or an elective
from a different track.
Summer Internship
One of the features of the revised MBA program is the addition of a formal summer internship program. The Walton College enjoys strong
relationships with many corporate partners, many of whom provide summer internships to our MBA students. Internships give students the
opportunity to gain hands on experience in his or her chosen field. The internships vary by career track; including consumer products
marketing, supply chain management, finance, and entrepreneur-related opportunities. MBA students may intern at a variety of locations
both in NWA and around the US.
Study Abroad
Globalization permeates the world of business. It is no longer a specialty area impacting a few large companies, but a daily reality for
companies of all sizes. Businesses of all sizes must deal with issues of international competition, fluctuating exchange rates, and global
sourcing. At the Walton College, international business is integrated into each of the business disciplines - from economics to accounting,
finance to marketing. Students may choose to experience international business first hand through a broad range of study abroad opportunities
from China to Greece, from Italy to Japan.
Professional Development
In order to keep the MBA program relevant and flexible, we have developed a series of Professional Development Seminars or mini-courses.
Students choose a minimum of five Professional Development Seminars. The content of the seminars can change from year to year to reflect
current issues and changing needs of business. These seminars are often taught by industry experts. Professional Development Topics may include:
