The
Accelerated One-Year MBA Program
Concentrations
Full-time MBA students may choose from concentrations in the following five areas: Entrepreneurship and Strategic Innovation, Finance, Global Business, Strategic Retail Alliances, and Customized Concentration. Each concentration, except the customized concentration, consists of one required course plus two concentration electives.
The entrepreneurship and strategic innovation concentration is appropriate for students who are interested in strategic change in
organizations, both large and small. Students pursuing this concentration can tailor their electives to
focus on intrapreneurship (change within large organizations) or

All Managerial students will choose a customized concentration consisting of 12 hours (four courses).
Alternatively, the University of Arkansas offers masters degree programs in accountancy, economics, information systems, and
transportation and logistics management. Graduate level courses are regularly offered in these areas and students may choose to take their elective courses from one or more of these programs. (Pre-requisite courses must be completed prior
to enrollment in any of these courses.)
Students may also develop a customized concentration with courses outside of the
Walton College of Business. For example, students may want to develop a concentration in Recreation Management or Health Care Administration. As long as students have completed the necessary pre-requisites for the course work and have received written approval from the Director of the MBA Program, concentration courses may be taken outside of the Walton College.
