The Master of Business Administration program and the part-time M.B.A. program in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas once again are among the top graduate business programs in the U.S. News and World Report rankings.
The Best Graduate Schools for 2013 again ranked the Walton College full-time M.B.A. program 25th among public institutions and 51st overall among public and private colleges and universities. The Walton College part-time program moved up from 29th to 25th in this year’s rankings of programs at public institutions and from 50th to 47th among part-time programs at public and private institutions.
“Thanks go out to our great team of faculty, staff and students that made these superb rankings possible,” said Walton College Dean Dan Worrell. “Our continued high M.B.A. rankings are reflective of the sustained academic excellence of our business programs at the Walton College. We are dedicated to offering programs of the highest quality for full-time and part-time graduate students alike.”
Worrell pointed out that the Walton College was in great company with the 47th overall ranking for the part-time program, tied with George Washington University, Temple University, the University of Colorado and the University of Pittsburg.
The U.S. News rankings also showed the Walton College full-time M.B.A. program ranked extremely high in the percentage of students employed at graduation. The college’s 85.7 percent was second among both public and private institutions.
Among Southeast Conference schools, the ranking for the full-time M.B.A. program puts the University of Arkansas fourth, behind Vanderbilt University, Texas A&M and Florida. In the part-time M.B.A. category in the conference, Arkansas trailed only Florida and South Carolina.
