We, the Walton MBA Program, look forward to seeing you at our MBA reunion on Friday, 12th April 2019. This year's theme is Tech Powered: Imagine the Future. Join us for a day of panels, speakers, and roundtable discussions on soft skills and how technology is shaping business. Then enjoy a tour of the NWA entrepreneurial scene as local entrepreneurs showcase their company and products at the Brewer Hub on the square. We also plan to celebrate the 20th year of our Executive MBA program.

Keynote Speaker - Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar, chief data officer and senior vice president technology at Discover Financial Services, will serve as the keynote speaker at the Walton MBA Alumni Showcase 2019.
Kumar and his team, Advanced Analytics Platforms, are leaders in building cloud based data and analytics capabilities. They are expanding Discover's end-to-end digital data ecosystem, while delivering world-class analytics and data solutions to their business partners. Their team continuously evaluates and leverages emerging technologies in big data, including artificial intelligence, machine learning and data visualization capabilities to drive an industry leading customer experience.
Prior to Discover, Kumar had more than 25 years of IT experience in financial service organizations such as American Express, Bank of America, and UBS Investment Bank. Most recently, he served as chief data officer and head of IT for the Consumer Health Division at Aetna, Inc.
Kumar has an MBA and a masters of science in decision and information systems from Arizona State University.

Decision Making During Uncertainty by Dr. Vikas Anand Walton College MBA Director, Associated Student Government Teacher of the Year award (2011), the Walton College Best All-Around Faculty Award (2012), and the Beta Gamma Sigma Award for Teaching Excellence (2013).
Tech Power, a panel discussion about tech and its impact on the future of business by business experts from NWA. Rand Waddoups, Sr Director Omnichannel at Walmart will talk about omnichannel retail along with Bill Akins, Chief of Staff/Director, Data Planning and Communication at Walmart Labs.
Sustainability and the Future discussion with key leaders in sustainability like Rob Anson, Director of Business Development for Henkel and Jon Johnson, Chairman of The Sustainability Consortium along with Sarah Lewis, Senior Director of Innovation at The Sustainability Consortium.
We intend to create a scholarship fund to our deserving MBA students. The scholarship will be based on need and academic standing; the recipient must be enrolled in the MBA program with the Sam M. Walton College of Business; the recipient must have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or greater; or a GMAT score of 600 or higher.
We will have a pledge form at the venue for you to fill out if you would like to contribute towards student scholarship. If you would like to give a cheque, please address it to University of Arkansas Foundation.
